I monitored the Grady EMS talkgroups from the Fulton County TRS for well over two hours this afternoon and heard no traffic. None...zippo...nada!!! Does anyone have a clue as to what might be going on? Have they gone to Nextel or SouthernLINC? Perhaps they've moved to the Atlanta DTRS? I just found it strange that Grady would have ZERO voice traffic for two hours.

You're doing it wrong somehow or don't have the new rebanded control channel, they are live and in full operation on old Fulco Trunk right this very minute

Casey is correct. Grady EMS is still on Fulton County's TRS. They are planning on going to Atlanta's Digital System early next year, after the EMS Department moves to it's new location at 745 Memorial Drive SE (at Pearl St. SE). You should be able to hear them fine. Blame it on the re-banding. Stay safe!

I finally figured out what was wrong --- ME! As long as I've been scanning (40 years), I'm always amazed that one little obscure setting can be in the wrong position, and it has the same effect as if you hadn't even input the frequencies. I HAD MY CONTROL CHANNEL ONLY SETTING TO "OFF"!!! The minute I changed it to "ON" Grady EMS started coming in loud and clear. Thanks everybody for helping out - these forums are so helpful.

Oh Mike, you know me too well! One of the problems of having more than one scanner and forgetting to keep them all programmed precisely the same and current.

They *might* have moved . . . but, from my experience monitoring them, some times they will have long quiet spells.

Or do like I do sometimes and have a trunked system set to I-Call ONLY. That'll bring normal radio traffic to a screaming halt!! LOL :)

Grady EMS goes Digital

At a little after noon today, Grady EMS joined the Digital Age. They joined Atlanta's Digital System. There is Channel One( Deployment, call assignments), Channel Two ( on scene, enroute to Hospital, etc) ECC (Grady ER) and Channel Four (Admin) just the same as before. The switch was flawless. I don't have any information regarding control channels or groups, etc. Don't ask. Does anyone provide a feed yet?

Jim, did you read the post before you responded to it?

I don't own a scanner. I don't know. Thanks for asking. Someone else should be able to help you. Stay safe, brother.

Would you be willing to share the TGID's?

There's this neat little website I found called radioreference.com. They have a list of all the Grady talkgroups:

Atlanta Public Safety (Project 25) System Trunking System, Atlanta, Georgia - Scanner Frequencies

But seriously though, I posted all those today. Dispatch is 19650 and Response is 19649.

Looks like b7spectra is doing a major reshuffle right now of the Atlanta TRS page so it should all look nice and clean pretty soon.
