We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Hi,

I'm from the Muskegon area and normally listen to the Muskegon and Ottawa County areas. I'm probably not the only one who likes to have a general idea of what geographic area different unit numbers cover.

When I drive to the Grand Rapids area, I have the city and county police and fire dispatch channels going, but unless I recognize a street name, I have no clue whether I'm listening to something in Grand Rapids, Kentwood, or whatever because I don't recognize the police car and fire engine unit numbers the way I do in Muskegon and Ottawa. Does anyone have these for Kent County? They are listed very nicely on the Radio Reference Wikis for Muskegon and Ottawa but not Kent.

Thanks. I appreciate the reply. I'll continue my questions over on that thread to see if anyone has gotten the fire and sheriff unit numbers too.
