Thanks for the reply. I dont have a digital Scanner, I own the Uniden Bearcat BCT8, Is there a way around it.

No...a few years ago, Greenburgh switched over to APCO Project 25, as did Yonkers PD. You have to have a digital scanner; all you will hear without digital are noise bursts. Sorry...

hey i have a question.. how can i program it to scan if i have other saved frequencies.. when i do save it i hear the buzzing noise but when i put the scanner in tune i can hear them fine. what should i do??

greenburgh pd one channel?

hi all, was wondering if any updates available for greenburgh, ny pd in westchester county ? i am using an bc 250d says apco25 card installed when it powers up. i put in 460.525 but don't hear much, sometimes get noise or the voices are garbled... am i doing anything wrong?
edit: im programming manually, cant find the pc cable for my arc250 software. i see in the database there is a tone 156 NAC but on the scanner can only select ctcss or dcs or off. lastly the mode is p25 but i can't select that either so im hoping it's automatic...

the 250d is the 1st generation of digital scanners. you need to manually adjust the voice when receiving their signal to get the best threshold to hear the conversation.these settings can only be done in the search mode and not thru the service search mode. the nac code of 156 does not apply with the 250d cause its a new feature on the later models of uniden and radio shack digital models.p25 is a system type selection on the newer models. greenburgh pd uses p25 digital voice but its not a p25 system its a conventional system using digital mode voice for their transmissions.forgot to mention that to adjust the voice press and hold the 9 key when you hear a transmission and use the scroll bar to adjust the threshold.
