I realize that Groton PD has updated their radios. We can no longer hear them on our Uniden BCD436HP.
Also can’t hear Ledyard, or State Police Troop E as well as we used to. I always used the zip code search. I realize that to get the new frequencies might be more involved. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not in the area, but I know Groton moved to the 700Mhz P25 system a few weeks ago. The TG is in the RRDB, make sure you have a updated scanner DB first.

I can confirm Ledyard PD still active on 453.8375 D465. I can't recall when they switched from PL to DCS, but check that first.

Ledyard upgraded their FD/PD/EMS/Townwide radios about 6 months or so ago, I think that is when they changed. That was also around the time the PD moved into their new building next to town hall.

1938HURRICANE - you are Going to need a MODERN Digital scanner like the Whistler WS 1088/1080 handheld or 1098/1095 base.
they can Receive P25 Phase I and II as well as DMR and NXDN depending on model.
best of all they come with a SD card for All your Channels and EZ scan software , the Scanner can be Updated for FREE using the Radio Reference Database.
