Grundig 750 Satellit-Battery Issue

Does anyone have a problem running the radio on batteries for an extended period of time? Mine works when I
unplug the adapter and plug it into another socket, but it goes to a "Lo" reading on LED and battery indicator
goes empty when powered up after unplugging.??

Battery problem

I have the same problem the radio will not work off batteries only when the power supply is plugged in will it power up and I have tried 6 new sets of batteries...the battery meter shows that the batteries are dead as soon as you put them in and will power up for just a few minutes then just shuts off....when I first had this problem the radio would run for about 45 min or so the just shut off but now it is down to just a few minutes...if you find a fix for the problem let me know I use my radio on the trail a lot but now I can not....thanx Ron
