I just bought one of these from RS this month, still learning how to use it. I figured out the auto tune / search function however I can't seem to get the radio to search in the Aircraft Band?? Not possible with this radio? Or maybe I got a bad one?

I just tried on mine an had no luck. I'm thinking it can't do that, but there may be a trick to make it work. I rarely listen to air so it's not a big deal for me but if it's possible, it can't hurt to know how, never know when you may need it.

My Grundig G3 does not scan/seacrch in Air Band mode either. Manual tuning with the knob or direct keypad frequency entry will work on the Air Band.

Auto tune / search on civil air is usually pretty hit or miss on nearly all radios / scanners - even fast ones due to the short transmissions. To save time, look at the frequencies near your area here and program or tune directly...

AirNav: Airport Information

RR usually has plenty of local airband freqs in the database too.
