Grundig YB400 PE Help

I recently bought a Grundig YB 400PE radio off of ebay. So far I am having a lot of fun with this radio. I only have one problem- the backlighting. When I turn it on its so dim you can barely read the display. Is there any way to make it brighter?

Perhaps the light for the display has been dislodged You'll have to open up the case (carefully) and look on the side of the LCD to see if the light has come unglued.
