RR Update

It looks like they updated Guilford County including High Point today - but even downloading that configuration/ talkgroups, I don't get anything except garbled audio whenever it picks up comm.

I was having similar issues. Audio quality seems much worse than before the switch. It seems like the signals are weaker and the scanner is struggling to decode the digital data. Opening up the squelch seems to help.

I've got a question, I noticed the tgid has changed on the talk groups but the hex looks like it's the same. I've haven't gotten a chance to try it yet but I was just wondering.

It's a P25 Simulcast system... That is what you are going to get with a scanner.

From what I've seen so far for Burlington:

2233 BPD OPS
2261 BFD DISP
2265 BFD TAC 3
2301 BPD DISP
2303 BPD INFO
2305 BPD TAC 5

Registering these on the 852.100a, the c wasn't picking up.

Pretty much confirmed those TGs. Will submit to the DB. A couple of months ago the chief of police of Burlington said Fire and Police would be all encrypted per a news article on the local Times News. http://www.thetimesnews.com/news/20170516/council-oks-funding-for-encrypted-police-radios . As of now they are all in the clear, but.....

Does anyone have a list of the voice frequencies being used on this system. I see the control channels listed but not the voice.

Im going to go out on limb and say that the freqs from here
https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=291 are still good. Also little magic with a hex to decimal conversion tool will probably get the new talkgroups. Again just a thought while walking on a limb.

Regards to all

To find the P25 talk groups simply divide the old talk group number by 16 (sixteen). For example:

4176 (old) 261 (new) PS OPS 1 Public Safety Operations 1*
4208 (old) 263 (new) PS OPS 2 Public Safety Operations 2*
4240 (old) 265 (new) PS OPS 3 Public Safety Operations 3*
4272 (old) 267 (new) PS OPS 4 Public Safety Operations 4*

According to unitrunker, the new system control channels are 854.8125, 852.1000, 857.7625, & 854.7125. 852.1000 is the current one.
