I am finally getting around to programming a radio (48 talkgroups) to monitor the Guilford County system...

My question is, from those who monitor the system... What are the "MUST HAVE" Talkgroups for the system, aside from any Greensboro PD stuff since they are running P25 and this radio is analog only. I know I will want County Fire Dispatch, Greensboro Fire Dispatch, EMS Dispatch, and Sheriff Dispatch. What Fire Tac channels are most active?

Thanks guys.

This would be my list. Not a full 48, but close.

Here is what I suggest:

Add the following-

PTIA FD 8592
PTIA PD 8624

Look at the list in Radioreference.com and use the odd number GFD talkgroups after Tac 3. Use the even number ES TAC talkgroups from ES TAC 10 to ES TAC 20. Greensboro assigns TAC 3 to all single company responses and begins with Tac 5 for multi-unit calls. In reality they don't go over TAC 11 often due to this assignment plan. The County assigns Tac 10 first and then the next available even number ES TAC. They don't go much beyond TAC 14 unless there is an aircrqaft alert or storm. Right from the start for an alert, they assign the first four available ES TACs.

Thanks for the great info. I kinda figured they were set up this way, and I has already added the PTI talkgroups along with UNCG PD to the codeplug i'm going to dump into the radio.
