• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Traffic tickets are a good example. Someone that commits a traffic violation that happens to result in a felony conviction currently loses their 2nd Amendment rights and I don't think that is right. By all means, if a person is convicted of domestic violence, then they should not be allowed to own or possess firearms.
This is putting the discussion back into the realm of rationality. Are you sure we're allowed to do that here?

So it took a common sense post about criminals and guns to bring you to a understanding? Are you really that narrow minded?

It is all based on the definition of a "criminal". Any idiot knows that. Well, some.

Nope, not narrow minded at all. That's the source of most of our debates. Conservatives are typically more narrow minded than liberals.

For the constitutional literalists here, where is the constitutional definition of a criminal? What provision is made to keep guns from criminals, what ever that means?

The 2nd Amendment was made perfectly clear when it was drafted.
No loop holes, no compromise, no debate, no exceptions.
And it was deliberately worded so that anyone with common sense could understand it.
Yet today, common sense seems to be as rare as hen's teeth especially on the left coast.

Just finished a 9MM AR pistol that has a Form 1 at the ATF to make it an SBR. This little thing is AWESOME! Hahn mag block, RRA magazines, RRA upper, 4" barrel. Very accurate, no recoil, no misfires and a dream to shoot.

Just remember that the 2nd Amendment is not what allows people the right to bear arms; the 2nd only affirms that right. Even if people succeed in repealing the 2nd, we will always have the right to bear arms!

Looks like another 10 people wiped out in Toronto.

By a van.

People kill people. Because a "gun is designed to kill people" logic doesn't really matter to a person who is f'ed in the head.

Keep your guns. Just don't use BS to try to justify them. You have all you need. It's called the 2nd amendment.

Interesting stats, although I find estimated numbers of firearms in the US at over 300 million and possibly 350 mil. Nobody really knows but we could use more. More!

Great to see so much support for 2A. Have a few ARs that I built recently. Most recently began collecting parts for a 1967 M16A1 replica. Also have to send a lower off to get lasered for ATF form 1.... wanting to do a 10.5" SBR. Home defense is my 7.5 w/ sig brace, Vortex 2.
