Its been a longgg time since I had a 40B, BUT if I remember correctly, on back of receiver down toward lower left corner, there was a 3-connector screw-type terminal for the antenna and ground wires..... From left to right I believe markings were A1 - A2 - G (or A - A1 - Gnd).

There was a jumper that went between the G terminal and the one next to it, and a SINGLE-WIRE antenna was connected to the terminal at farthest left.

But when using a twin-lead antenna cable such as Co-ax, the jumper was removed, and the co-ax' shield went to the Ground terminal, and the center lead went to the Antenna connector which formerly had the jumper between it and Ground.

------
And, I believe the speaker terminals were toward the middle of the set, not far from where the AC cable came in. Like I said, its been long time since I had a S40B, but am reasonably sure that is how the antenna was connected.
