I haven't seen any mention of the hammer implementing AES, so I guess I'll do it.

I suspect that there are a bunch of unhappy tows out there who spent big bucks on keyed radios that have now gone silent.

Windsor fire ADP is next. Waiting to replace the last couple XTL/XTS radios then they will be bumped up to AES with the rest of the city

Did the entire city change over or just PD to AES for scamilton?

Was it only these groups you logged? PD was in the 500's so "maybe" this is some other department like CBSA or someone

Only way to tell for sure would be to compare RID's.

I noticed this a couple of weeks ago. 401 402 and 403 were patched to 501, 502, and 503 which I assume are police related. Haven't seen any activity on the 500 series since.

I would imagine they are implementing new TG's for police. All new 400 series appear to be AES. We will see what happens to fire and works...

I would of mentioned it then but since everything on their system is ENC, I don't really see a point...

In a way, no different then everyone reporting info for LMRN since OPP/EMS. All them are encrypted, also.
If you do voice following with DSD, maybe they have talker alias enabled by chance and could help figure things out

I agree. It never hurts to log everything. Even spotting a KID change will let you know that the system is being changed or that new keys are being deployed. A key change may well indicate either new TG or new sevices going ENC.

It looks like the Hamilton Police doesn't use 501/502/503.. since last night there only been a total of 4 hits between the 3 50x TG's. Looks like Central/Mountain and East Districts are on TG 401/402/403 now with 40-50 hits on each TG.

That is also what I've been seeing on DSD+ also... Might want to see if any of the other 500 series TG's still have affiliations and voice activity
