I enabled Virginia Beach Highways Dept (Orion 2) and also STARS Transportation. With all this snow I hear nothing on those channels. What am I missing. Safety Patrol and State PD and VB PD/Fire coming in great.

service types on 536 are checked

Thanks

Can't speak to the Virginia Beach municipality, but around here (Fredericksburg area), VDOT is using mobile phones and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) for communication and coordination. Never hear them on low band anymore, and I'm pretty sure VDOT plow trucks do not have STARS radios.

I am watching the plowing on VDOT cameras. They are doing a bang up job. Best I have seen in years. Totally coordinated snow removal. They are close to me, but hear nothing. Oh well

Live and well out this way on Low Band. Even heard on a new one for them. Usually its 120 and 080 but heard them using a new one this last storm. They also use phones out here. Sometimes I hear them using the radio because they can't get a hold of someone on the radio.
