I upgraded to Extra today at Hamvention. Started studying in January. Hit the books pretty hard the last two weeks.

Congratulations! I had a wonderful time there from Thursday (orientation day) through Sunday. I got a nice "trucker's tan" on my left arm and the left side of my face, having driven a six pax golfcart all weekend!

Thanks! This was my third year as a volunteer. Each year is bringing improvements in both planning and execution. It is more fun than driving bumper cars, plus I get to meet with quite a few really interesting people...
