July 28th, there will be a 100+ mile Bike Ride in northwest Alabama. It will start at McFarland Park in Florence and travel to the Natchez Trace Parkway, then south to the MS/AL stateline, then back north to the TN/AL stateline and then back to McFarland Park. The Muscle Shoals Amateur Radio Club, Tishomingo County Amateur Radio Club and other hams will be along the routes with communications to assist with First Aid, Safety, Water and other needs. The primary frequency will be the W4JNB repeater - 146.610 MHz with a PL Tone of 100 Hz. 145.535 MHz Simplex will also be in use. I'm sure other frequencies will be used also, both ham and public service.
