Not for the SDR# type systems. They need a specific chipset for the software to work with and this one does not have the RTL chips needed. Whether it can be used with other software (read someone would have to write it from scratch) is questionable.

Jay...I don't won't to come off sounding like an a hole here, but if you did a little Google search you find that the chipset is not 2838. I myself have though that any usb tv dongle will work...after checking the specs on any dongle you will see that only rtl2838 chipset works. I am sure someone will correct me here! Later.

Why that the DVB-S Chipset are not supported?
DVB-S use higher Frequency than DVB-T.
