While reading the thread about OTA TV, I wondered if the Hauppauge USB sticks would work with SDR Trunk, or other hobby apps. I would think the dual tuner model would cover a whole trunking site. Has anyone tried with these, or similar, equipment?

I can say that GQRX does recognize my Hauppauge PCIe device as a Conexant CX23885 tuner, but doesn't work properly as far as I can tell. SDRTrunk does not recognize it however, but, because they are in theory very similar in function to the realtek and other sdr dongles, I would guess that if somebody had the aptitude and wanted to make them work like SDR devices, they could, but I've never seen anybody use them as such outside of FM radio and TV tuning applications. The other issue would be that even though TV tuners may all have one brand name, such as Hapogapog, they have many different chipsets inside of them which might make it harder to support.
