The old sheriff and his buddy pat. Oh yea its hilarious. Sheriff Bob sounds like a really great guy. He almost ran off the road one time on an S shaped on ramp. "Ohh the brakes work, these things handle pretty good yea!" Then the time they were suspects when the helicopter saw him "They're making a u-turn" and he flicked on his lights "uhhh disregard that last"

I know Sheriff Bob monitors several county and city police talkgroups when he's on patrol, but what would HIS "home" talkgroup be? I looked in the database and didn't see any specific talkgroups for "Sheriff" in the Ramsey county DB listing. For example, the other night when he pulled over a car on Energy Park Drive west of Snelling for careless driving.... when he keyed up his radio as "2400" to give his stop location, which talkgroup would that be on? It was only a matter of 1 or 2 minutes and he had two more Sheriff squads (not SPPD) on scene.

On the ARMER trunk system, Ramsey County TG 11516, 11518, 11520 are Ram SO East, Central, West in that order.
Then in the Ramsey County St. Paul group TG 11558, 11560, 11558 are SPPD CH1 W, CH 2 C, CH 3 E in that order. Those are the 6 channels they regularly monitor. As needed they may also Listen to L-Tac 1 or 2 when there is a chase, and occasionally they will monitor a STATE PATROL TG.

Does Sheriff Bob have a normal broadcast schedule, or is it on random nights? I've only watched him a few times and it's usually been on Friday nights, but I've also watched him on a Tuesday.

The regular time is 9:11 Central Time on Friday nights. They are considering a daytime Wednesday as well, but everything depends on what else the Sheriff needs to be involved in. If you go to the Live on Patrol Facebook page and click to receive notifications they post ahead of time LOP events or schedule changes. You may want to join the 6000+ on the Live on Patrol “Backseaters” FB group. Information gets posted there also.

Not being on Facebook is not unfortunate, it's smart! :cautious: (y)

That was my thought, too. ;)
Sure, I maybe miss a lot of happenings and gossip not being on facebook.... but I KNOW it's also saved me tons of headache over the years. lol

Yep, youtube is where I watch live patrol. They have comments shut off during the youtube live stream but I can tell they are watching facebook for live comments. Kinda sucks they don't monitor both (youtube and facebook) but I understand it's hard enough to monitor ONE source of live comments, let alone two. I get it.

Thanks for the info.

I have watched on FB a few times, but the comments come to fast to watch and listen to Bob and Pat and read the comments too. A number of comments are people carrying on conversations with each other, not related to what is happening or seen. Unless it is a daytime LOP I watch later anyway, I prefer YouTube since you can double click on the left or right portion of the screen to go back or forward in 10 second intervals.
