Who? Where?

I can only assume you mean something in Texas, as you admittedly located yourself in Texas in another post.

Radioreference Texas Forums contains Texas specific threads.

And please learn to use the Radioreference Database (Just to the left of your username in the top bar), and not just blurt out nonspecific questions in the general scanning forum.

I will start you in the right direction. Click Here to go to the Texas RR Database landing page.

Hi Captfalcon07. I have never seen anyone at my two HEB stores using radios, but I would not be surprise that they have some. HEB has a Director of Emergency Preparedness, so they may have some radios. See the following link for the Director Justen Noakes information at the Texas GIS Forum.

The mods moved this post to the relevant forum. You've got some supremely knowledgeable Texans that are very active on the forums, and if its not in the database and it's not in the forums, you don't need to know it....maybe. (y)

good luck learning, and welcome!

Local HEB (San Antonio) is restricting the number of customers allowed into the store at the same time. There is an employee at each door using what looks more like a phone than a radio to communicate and coordinate allowing customers in and out. I did not find the frequency yet. I saw a post years ago that stated the stores use a hybrid phone / radio system, spread spectrum, but I don't recall any details.

My HEB in Cedar Park, Tx uses 462.6875 (FRS) for that curbside pickup stuff so I assume the same radios may be used for the other stuff. But it does differ by store.

Conroe checking in... Some sort of on site phone/PTT system here locally. I'm guessing some flavor of 900mHz/ISM/FHSS. Antennas look suspiciously like 900mHz dipoles. Handsets have an old school iDen/Nextel flavor. No telling what they're using. But traveling around the state, I have noticed some of the more common FM UHF itinerant biz band portables in use.
