Hi, I am interested in monitoring civilian helicopter communications around new york city.

I know nothing about scanners and need to get up to speed quick. Is there a good store in NYC that can help me with what type of scanner to get and how to use it?

Thanks!

I always get suspicious when someone is in a rush to do something...

ny,

As to the store part of your question...

I recommend Stuart Electronics at 79-12 Parsons Blvd in Flushing. Call them at (718) 591 - 9700 and ask for Pete.
