Just wanted to introduce myself somewhat. I'm fairly new to the UHF world. I have been into to C.B. for around 15 or so years. I bought two iCom F24s and have programmed them to my Co. frequencies. This UHF seems like a totally different world so I'm most likely going to be asking a lot of questions. :) so PLEASE bare with me.
Thanks,
Bill.

Welcome to RR. When you do ask, it would help greatly if you would go into your User CP (found in the blue toolbar under the thread title) then click on Edit Your Details in the left frame. Put in your county or city. This will help narrow down your responses to those folks that are in your general neck of the woods.
Edit: iCom F24 is a professional 2-way radio, for which you would need a license to transmit, and certainly would not be able to transmit on your county freq or any other Public Safety

Thanks for the welcomes.
Yes, I know the F24 is restricted to license operation and Co.= Company. That's why I said it a whole new world to me. Just a few extra hoops to jump through so nothing too bad.
