Hi gang!

I recorded some audio today for anyone that can help identify a callsign.
The frequency is 311.0Mhz AM @1600 PST.
In the recording, you can hear the callsign "BIGFOOT" and another callsign that sounds like "THAD or CHAD ZERO-TWO"
Can anyone help identify?

Thanks in advance.

robschonk and Tech792,
Thanks for the quick replies on this, The info/links youve provided are of further interest for me on future searching and are indeed valuable, but I should've been more specific as to what I was looking for. Shame on me for not clarifying.

I know already of the callsign "BIGFOOT"; What I am searching for is for the other callsign of "THAD or CHAD". I cant make out exactly who/what they said. Im looking for the usual who/what are they as far as aircraft type or origin of base.
Of course any info would be appreciated. Thanks again in advance.

Pat sounds reasonable, I thought it was "Fat 02." Then, I'm listening to built-in speaker of my crackberry.

I'm pretty sure it's FAT - which would probably mean 144th FW F-16s out of Fresno.

Most ANG squadrons tend to have a dedicated callsign for NORAD missions. For example, the participating squadrons in tonight's Windy City CAP use JUDGE (115th FW) and MUDDY (180th FW) for these scenarios. Likewise, FAT has been noted in the past used by 144th FW aircraft working with Bigfoot.

I agree with Jared, FAT Zero 2, & FAT Zero 1. That's pretty cool that your only hearing the BIGFOOT side of the conversation.

If the FAT Boys are indeed the 144th FW, that callsign prefix would be due to their home base commonly being known as Fresno Air Terminal (ICAO: KFAT), officially now Fresno-Yosemite International Airport.

When I lived in the SF Bay area, I'd hear them using the BISON ## callsign for a lot of their NORAD Combat Air Patrol stuff.

The VALLEY 11 stuff is very interesting to me, because the guy definitely doesn't sound like he's an F-16 jock that's done a lot of intercept & "voice tell" work with NORAD.

Thanks everyone for the replies
I dont know why I didnt hear it as "FAT" initially, but after listening again a few times, it does indeed make sense now.

I do find that strange as I would think that I would be hearing the "FAT" side as opposed to the "BIGFOOT" side of it.
