Help me build my set up

System to be monitored: Hancock County Public Safety Trunking System, Hawesville, Kentucky

Hardware:
2 x rtl-sdr dongle
Levono Thinkcenter or Raspberry Pi 5

Software
SDRTrunk

Purpose
Wanting to listen via speakers at home but also eventually stream to Broadcastify.

1. Is it possible to run SDRTrunk on a Pi? Wanting a small set it and forget it setup.

2. Can SDRTRUNK do Broadcastify Feed and Call at the same time? I’d like to option to go back to replay stuff but also want people to be able to hear the live feed on their phone.

Ideally, I’d like fire on one stream and LE on another. Not planning on EMS.

Please steer me in the right direction.

Add Rdio-Scanner to your mix and just stream it to your phone. You can also go back a listen to saved transmissions.

1. Yes SDRT will run on a Pi5, you need the correct version of SDRT.
2. Yes Broadcastify runs on the Pi5 and can do multiple feeds to Broadcastify and to the Calls feed, there is a special Broadcastify Pi image to set it up.

Search RR for Raspberry Pi 5 and there are lots of info available.

I will have to look at that one. I haven’t heard of it. Can other listen also via an app?

I was under the assumption SDRTRUNK could go directly to Broadcastify? Do I need another program for that?

Yes it will, but there is a special Pi Image for it.

The Broadcastify Raspberry Pi Image comes preinstalled with the following software:

• Darkice - Audio Streamer for Broadcastify Feeds
• Trunk Recorder - SDR Trunked Radio Capture Software for Broadcastify Calls
• RTLSDR-Airband - SDR Capture and Broadcastify Feed Software for AM Aircraft
• VoxCall - Broadcastify Calls Audio Capture Software
• BCFY Shell - Management shell for configuration, management, and update of Broadcastify Feed Services
