Help my dad

I live in Youngstown, ohio. In the county of Mahoning County and the suburb of Boardman. The police here Boardman police just switched to a Project 25 Phase 1 system. My father who enjoyed listening to his scanner is now left in the dark with the township police and can please tell what type/brand I need to get to get my dad up and running again. Thank you
