• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

The most important thing I see here is the cable. Do you have the cable, and have you tested it to see if the radio and your computer are "shaking hands"?

BC796D Uniden Bearcat Base Mobile APCO Digital Radiio Scanner

"P25 card included". Is that a small chip or wafer? Can you identify it as installed?

This is not a familiar scanner for me? Is it a new item, or a somewhat old device?

I might claim to be an "ARIZONA APRO25" expert (grading my own paper, lol), but looking at this scanner, I am basically lost.

The scanner should do fine with the County system and any radio sites in RWC and TRWC's systems that use 800 MHz. It can't do anything with any site that has frequencies that start in the 700 MHz range.
