Hello everyone

I have been trying to program Duck River Electric muti-site P25 trunking system manualy in to my
pro-197. I thought I was programming it wright, but I am still hearing sounds like you would be hearing If you were listen to a digital signal on a analog scanner on 461.225C.

The following is the way I programed it:

System Type: P25 Auto (FDMA)

I programed all columbia and culleoka freq: 451.550 452.700 461.225C 461.600 451.1375 451.400
452.350C 461.400 463.425
Multi-Site: Roam

Threshold Hi: 95%
Threshold Lo: 75%

T Tables: Default

The base is: 450.0mhz
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please let me know what I'm doing wrong and how I should set it up. Thank you.

Accepting that your fingers did what your brain was telling you, I would program all of the frequencies in as a first step. May be that they are using one of the other frequencies as a cc.

My other thought is if the DB is wrong and it needs to be imported as a Motorola UHF trunking system. Might try that if adding the extra frequencies doesn't work.

FYI I imported it into Win500 and your settings look ok.

Good luck.

I have this system programmed into my Uniden 396XT as a P25 system, using ALL the eight control channels (NOT talk channels) that are listed in the RR database. From where I am located I am receiving this system on control channel 452.0125 and also 452.2625.

I modified my settings for the system with the following:

System Type: P25 Manual

I programed all eight control freq, I took out all the talk frequencies.

Programed the Columbia TGID 501, and Culleoka TGID 1201 sites.

Programed the Main Office TGID 1021.

If I programed it wright, how much radio traffic should I be hearing?

I programed these settings around 1pm Central Time.

Thank for the info.

I rarely listen to this system, so I'm not really sure how active they are. When I was checking it before replying to your post today, I didn't hear any traffic, but I did get adequate signal strength, indicating that the radio was actually receiving the system. Does your radio show a T (in a black box) and how strong is the signal strength--the "S" with ascending bars? Also, you might want to set the radio to P25 Auto and have a "wildcard" in there so you can hear other groups than the TGs you have programmed in already.
