• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

So I have a motorola solution account. I have downloaded and installed the most recent CPS 2.0. I'm only guessing its the most recent because the copyright information in the program states 2008-2025.

I'm a HAM operator and have indeed purchased the 25khz EID. However, when I put in my EID it fails to connect to the website. I know the website is connect.motorolasolutions.com

I don't know is the server down? Is there something I might be missing here.

Thanks in advance

Have you authenticated your computer?
I've been trying.

The information I have says to go to connect.morotolasolutions.com and authenticate there.

I do that and the website never loads and gives an err_connection_reset on my web browser.

What you know it seems to be a google chrome issue. I switched to edge and its working. Got authenticated and was able to input my EID.

I was told it Motorola does not play well with Firefox either. Curiously, that was by Motorola who told me told me to switch to Chrome. Interesting.

I think "finicky" is the word we're looking for here, lol. I have the wide band auth, just need to finish getting the actual 2.0 so I can try programming this radio on Monday.

yep and now I'm just saving up to pickup a couple motorola HTs. Have plenty mobile units and two of them are used as base stations. Have a few more mobiles getting used as "Mobile Go Kits'. Just want to add a couple HTs to the mix.

I've been using Baofeng for so long and as much as I enjoy my cheap radios since playing with some Motorola radios the quality is why I'm going to get some HTs.

I want to get a couple XPR 7550. One VHF and one UHF. Sure I have a dual band baofeng with DMR but Motorola appeals to me.
