Help with motorola gp68

Hi everyone, i am going out of my mind trying to find out why my motorola gp68 will only receive audio when the monitor button is pressed. When it receives a signal, i hear nothing, but when i press the monitor key i hear everything. Why does the audio not come on automatically ? Please help.

It probably has the wrong receive PL programmed.
