Help with pairing Scosche and Bluetooth

Anyone know how to pair the Scosche IUBTT with a Motorola H700c Bluetooth receiver? I followed the instructions on both devices, put them in pairing mode but they are not talking to each other. I'm wondering if they are even compatible.

Here's what I did: on the Bluetooth I held the center button down for 5 seconds til the ringed light turned purple then opened the little swingout speaker; it's now in pairing mode.

On the Scosche, I put it in pairing mode by pressing the center button for 1-3 seconds and the blue light start blinking, indicating that it's in pairing mode. The instructions says it can take up to 2 minutes but they still don't pair.

Any ideas?

I plan on using the bluetooth with my handheld scanner much like many others here do.
