Help with pro-404

I can not figure out this scanner! I have looked up numerous frequencies and still can't get this thing to work!
I still have more coming out of my cell phone app than this darn scanner. What am I doing wrong?

You may be doing nothing wrong, but just don't have the capabilities that the stream you are listening to does.

What freqs do you have programmed? It may be just a simple case of not being close enough if your freqs are analog-only and non-trunked.

If you're trying to monitor the Virginia Beach area... non critical services are on 800 MHz analog and public services (police / fire) are P25 digital.

The PRO-404 is Radio Shack's cheapest analog scanner and doesn't do 800 MHz analog or digital... so it may not be a good choice for that area.
