This is the first scanner I owned. I purchased from Scanner Master a BCT15, Arc15 Basic software and a premium subscription from this site. I am having trouble using all of this to program the scanner. If I understand it correctly the ARC15 software makes it easier to program the scanner with the database info from this site. How do I get the database from my area (western NY) into the ARC15? I called Scanner Master for help and they told me to call Uniden. Uniden said they can not help me with the ARC15 software and to read their manual to learn to program the scanner. I have read the manual several times and the Easier to read manual. I am not new to computers, I have been building them since the dos days. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You

First off if you haven't go into the RR database and look up exactly what you want to program into the scanner. It helps to have the page open when using the software as well.
Open ARC15 go into the Internet menu choose RadioReference then decide what you want to import first Conventional or Trunked data input your user name and password, then go from there Country, State, County and what systems you want to import.

If you want an idea of how it should look load the files in the Erie zip file into ARC15

Go into the database highlight the frequencies you want using the mouse, hit copy. The frequencies are now in your clipboard. In ARC15 there's a feature called "webcatcher" under the file menu, make sure you have a system opened. Select the webcatcher feature and then you can dump the frequencies into the program.

If memory serves, Webcatcher only grabs frequencies; the RRDB import is far and away better, as it gets much more than that. 73s Mike
