Just got a 396T and I think ive messed up the display.

IT SHOWS " SO: 12*45* " Have I locked out channels 3 & 6? if so how do i turn them back on.

While it is scanning press 3 and 6. That will toggle those systems back on. You press them again and they toggle off.

Glad to help. A little more info; to put in more than 10 systems, you use the ./no button. System 11 would be ./no,1,1. That is about it for system quick keys. There are also group quick keys as well. You really need to study your manual a little.

DDan & ka3jjz are both right on. I can't stress enough the importance of reading the manuals, especially the marksscanners manuals, which actually make sense out of the gobbly gook in the Uniden manuals. If at first you don't understand....................read, read again. My personal experience has been to apply the information from the manuals to the scanner as you read through it. Play with it,............experiment. The more you apply the information to the scanner, the easier it is to understand, and with more repition, operation becomes much easier. There's a learning curve to all new things.
