I still would like to know how to move the frecs. from the database into my scanner. Can any one give me a hand ? JW

You have the Uniden BCD396T from what I guess from your other posts. If so, you need the software from BuTel to download from the DB directly.

You can't. That is what makes the 3rd party vendors software so popular.

This is an incorrect impression. There is a utility put out by Uniden (actually UPMan) which will allow you do this (it is not complete right now but it is a start). You can get it from the Yahoo BCD396T group in the files section. It was (the utility) originally built for the BC246T but outputs the same basic file format. You can load it into the UASD software and any fields needed (that are not there yet) will be added by the software for upload into your radio.
