• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I found this little business card holder at my local OfficeMax for about $10. It fits the 325 and the 436 like a glove! The radio stands straight up, will not fall over easily and the perforations do not block the sound. It has rubber feet so it doesn't scuff the desktop.

Here it is with a couple different radios:

Nice find! I've also used the metal bookends (like the ones in the attached photo) to 'hang' a handheld on - even works for the 'nub' like on the 396XT from Uniden. You can also easily bend these to have the radio tilted back a little, if desired, and are usually wide enough for two handhelds. But great find on the business card holder, too!

Here's an example of what I was referring to...
