Ok, here is a freq. I found that I don't have an answer for. See if anyone else hears it. I am hearing Ansonia PD. ( 151.400 ) being rebroadcast on 462.3625 DPL 431. And don't you go thinking it is an image, lol. First off, an image wouldn't have a totally different PL/DPL... And, I am about 15 miles away, so no image of course. Took me a while to figure out who it is, until I heard some familiar streets. Then I proceeded to put the 151.400 into another radio to confirm. I am using a 10 element yagi pointing right in that direction, and the signal is very low. So for the average person, I would say you probably need to be a little closer than myself to hear it. Attention @izzyj4. I bet you can hear it.
I was hearing Weston PD (who is Enc. on their 460.2125 freq.) being rebroadcast in the clear on 463.6125 CC10 for a couple of years, but it seems to have disappeared. I never mentioned that one for obvious reasons.

Probably using it as a link, hence the low power. Police station to remote transmitter, or maybe some other agency in the area that is on UHF asked for it to be put up so they can monitor/scan PD...FD/EMS maybe? I'm not familiar with the bands other local agencies use, and I'm too lazy to look.

EDIT: nevermind, I did look it up, and it seems pretty obvious as the Ansonia BOE is licensed for that frequency under WPYD210. I'm sure they have a link/rebroadcast for security to monitor/contact PD.

However, if it makes a difference, I never heard BOE actually use that freq. But yes, in an Emergency they probably jump right on there and can communicate direct with the PD/EMS. I hear the High School BOE on 451.5125 Color Code 6. Actually that is how I discovered this mystery freq. in the first place. I had all of the licensed Ansonia BOE freqs. scanning to find what they are actually using, and I discovered those "mystery transmissions" occurring on that freq.
