    We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

    If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Holbrook FD's new UHF repeater seems to be up and running... sounds good from central suffolk.
Rumor has it this will be a repeated fireground channel.

You think I might be able to pick it up on this side of the Sound???

If your close enough to the shore it should be fine. It came in clear on my mobile in Port Jefferson earlier this week.

yeah. sounds GREEEEEAAAAT... Pre AND post MDC on every single freakin radio. :mad: It drove me nuts and I turned the radio off. lol.

Motorola Radio + RX Only + DOS Muting = Problem Solved.

This is what I do with Garden City PD, and it sounds great.
