Hollywood PD Florida

I just bought a Homepatrol 1 and got it all set up. My problem is that when I go to Hollywood PD the broadcasts sound like control channles and I cannot hear them. I know that they rebanded the Site 3 for Broward County Public Services, but my understanding is that this should not have effected the Home Patrol scanner since the datebase was updated.

When I use another scanner and go to the individual frequencies directly, I can hear talk just fine. Just not when the trunking system is accessed. I'm confused!! Help please??

Are the channels digital? (They are tagged as analog in the dB.)

Yes the Dania/Hollywood are digital. With a few exceptions, most others on the Broward County system are analog.

I've requested in the Florida forum that someone who is local to that system check the channels to confirm which ones are digital and submit the correction to the dB page. Once that is done, HPDB will update to the correct mode, too.

Posted this on the FL forum as well.
I don't normally listen to the PD but added them into my 396 real quick and as I thought all Dania/Hollywood are digital on the trunked system. I submitted the change info but it has been taking months to get a reply that a change has been processed.

HP database update will be pulled tonight and be available about 9 am Central time on Friday.

I saw the submission epersson sent yesterday on Dania/Hollywood and made the changes last night. That should solve the problems.
