As with most questions, some details of what you're looking for is required to provide you with a good answer. There are weather stations that are pretty cheap, but only provide indoor & outdoor temperature. Others cost a bit more and add humidity. They go up in price as you add features.

Some brands are :
Lacross Welcome to La Crosse Technology
Davis Quality wireless weather stations and software for home, education, and hobbyists by Davis
Oregon Scientific Oregon Scientific | U.S. | Store | Weather
Honeywell Honeywell Weather Stations

Others are also available, with several being clones of those above (e.g. "The Weather Channel" one is a rebranded Lacrosse.

Unless you want to spend a LOT of money, I wouldn't look at anything but Davis. Anything cheaper is junk.

Shouldn't that be IF you want to spend a lot of money get a Davis? They run $500 - $1000 (plus extras like software). I've used a Lacross (about $150 complete with software) for years without any issues (until lightning killed my rain sensor late early this year).

Well you can always use the cheapest methed. Tile a string to your door knob. Heres the rules

If string is:

Moving = Windy
Wet = Raining
Dry = Sunny
Missing= Tornado

lol good luke finding you weather station....lol

Apparently you haven't priced systems used at airports and such.

Over the years I've used two Davis systems. The only reason I got the second was to go wireless at my new house and that was over eight years ago. I haven't had one problem with their systems.

Your master site
I use a wireless Davis Vantage Pro 2 with the serial port plug-in module. I run Davis' software and don't have any complaints. It has given me zero problems since I installed it last year. The forecasting is pretty useless though, which I'd figure would be normal.

Ditto on the Davis -

The setup you want (and more) comes with the Davis Vantage II. The lowest price I found was from "ProVantage". Mine was less than $400 delivered. It has been working great ever since - the wirelss option is far better than I expected.

HTH,

Shawn

You can buy a Oregon Scientific Weather station at Radio Shack .I Bought mine there and have had no problems with it and it has everything on it that I need.It was on sale for $100.00.I know this is not a Davis but I do not have $500.00 to spend.

To Taloniilm
Your outdoors setup looks amazingly like mine except I have one antenna.
Just curious, what did you use to make the crossarms coming off the central mast (pole)?
Thanx
