Dyou nothing, cut a custom screen protector, put in one of the nylon or leather cases with clear plastic over the screen and keyboard? what would you recommend. This seems like something that Uniden would sell for the 436 or the 536. I had a Gopro Hero 4, and even GoPro, sold screen protectors for there cameras. Be nice if Uniden would make some custom made for the 436, etc. precut for exact fit on the screen.

self stick laminating or heavy duty cleart tape. I have some 2 inch wide clear packing tape that protects good, though the self stick photo laminating sounds just as good, plus alot cheaper that buying a whole roll of packing tape.

I also plug the earphone port to prevent dust and other materials from entering the radio and getting on the screen, and use a hard leather case with the clear window, from scannermaster. So far, so good!

I mentioned that when they first came out. No idea why they would not include one.

you are asking uniden for a screen protector when they can't even fix the scanner OR make it so that us ops know which ones are "fixed" and which are not? good luck with that.

Thanks for hte link above on the dust plugs, ordered those, and i also, found some universal screen protectors at walmart, had like 3 in the pack i think, made my best attempt at a template, and did my best to cut the screen protector to it. For $5, it covers the screen, so thats one less thing i have to worry about with it.

I would take electrical tape and cover up the metal fasteners on the inside of the case. I ordered one for my RS Pro-96 and it still got a little scratched up because of the metal fasteners. When I ordered a case for my RS Pro-106, I covered up the fasteners immediately, and haven't had any problem with scratching so far. I would still use some kind of screen protector as dirt and debris can still get between the clear plastic, of the case, and the screen. This is the method I use anyway.

I wonder if those in the pic will open up the audio jumper to the speaker...

I use a galaxy note 2 screen protector cut to fit. It's crystal clear and doesn't leave anything behind if removed.

Just go on e-bay or amazon and search for screen protectors that you can cut to fit. Voila. Cheap too.

When I first got the 4/536hp I had 2 iPhone 4 screen protectors left. I put both on them and still holding up pretty good.
