The window is on the 2nd floor, so it doesn't need to be locked. 3 Antennas will be on the roof with short posts attached to 2 pipes that stick up out of the roof. One post will hold a discone and a TV antenna. The other post will be for a Comet GP-3 dual-bander. I don't want a patch-type panel like the MFJ one. Instead, I want something thin that inserts along the bottom of the window but is thin enough for grommets. It will have 4 or 5 1-inch holes and be thin enough to use grommets with RTV for seailng, to keep out rain and bugs.

I'm trying to think of what kind of material and tools to build something like this. Something solid and sturdy, preferably white in color to blend in.

Yeah, plastic would be good.
Also, Aluminum bar stock can be had at most hardware stores. Doubles as a grounding point. Hit it with a can of spray paint if it's gotta be white.

I 100% concur with the white PVC trim board. That's what I use...Easy to cut and drill. And will never rot, soften, etc.

The PVC trim sounds like a plan. But everything online looks awfully expensive and they've all too thick to snap rubber grommets onto.

I'd just silicone the hole after pulling the cables through instead of bothering with grommets. It would probably seal better too.
