BCD325P2/BCD996P2: How to lock out (not scan) a trunk group

I got too used to the BCD436/536 SDS100/200 programming and scanning, and now have a brain fart on how to lock out an entire trunk system on a BCD996P2 while scanning.

i would hit HOLD to make sure you are 'locked on' to it and hit function, lockout, lockout.

F+L/O,L/O.

The easiest way would be to assign quick keys to the sites, and use that to toggle them off.

ProScan does not offer the option to set a Quick Key for the system itself. And that's not an option on the scanner either (at least, on my 325P2, the portable sibling to the 996P2)

Note that FreeSCAN does allow you to set a System Quick key, but if you do that, it also resets all of the Site quick keys to whatever you entered at the System level.

You can set system quick keys on the database scanners (x36HP & SDS series), and different ones for the sites,

If you avoid all the sites, the system will not scan.

By assigning a different system quick key to each site of a trunked system, you can easily select which site or sites you want to scan by pressing the site quick key numbers on the keypad.
