How to monitor LightRail Microwave Telemetry

So I recently found the local Light rail telemetry microwave Frequency and was curious if if it's even possible to monitor, what equipment and software it would take?

There is no way to answer that without knowing the modulation and data transmission protocols used and whether or not it is encrypted.
You would probably need the same equipment and software the railroad uses.

Thanks for the info guys. So probably a big nope. However I did find this data and I would be willing to go sit near them as I am not far away.

DDG search on "5M00W7D QPSK" pulls up some stuff. Dragon OS might have some tools to look into the emission more.

Your scanner isn't going to be able to do anything with that, even if it's on a frequency that your scanner will cover (it isn't…).

That's a 5Meg wide signal. QPSK, 16-QAM, and 64-QAM are not anything your scanner would decode. It would be like trying to decode a cellular LTE signal.

Even if you had the right gear, it's IP and other than seeing the data stream, it wouldn't do you much good.

Plus, if the railroad saw you, they might be a bit upset.
