Kershaw county radio codes and signals

heard a new code on SCHP Kershaw county talk group I had not heard before

Signal 21 - "is your radio secure"

dispatch asked officer if he was 'signal 21'... when the officer replied he was
dispatch replied that the violator he was out with was 'signal 3' for cancellation of insurance..

I did try to find a current list of signals and codes for SCHP and for KCSD, but found nothing..

I'm guessing you mean SC150? You can't. That is not a trunk tracking scanner.

In this area the R/S-GRE-Whistler are in use at a ratio of 400 to one [1] to Uniden. Simple Xcell datebase. Becaus of vision problems I no longer PGM scanners. I have a friend with software and knowledge who can help you. usual PGM is 500 to 800 objects devided into 20 BANKS. Good luck Larry 246-3261

I use a Home Patrol one and a HP-2 both give great service. I live in Aiken, and my antenna is 35 feet off the ground , I can cover about 80% of the state with what i have from where I live.

Download ProSCAN, or FreeSCAN, or ARCXT. Get premium Sub to this site. Plug in the USB1 cable, and DL correct updated drivers for your PC. Update to latest firmware for the BCD396XT. Now, once thats done we can get you rolling on the easy way to do this via software. Or for the manual method.... See this website and have fun!
Easier to Read BCD396XT Digital Scanner Manual

I myself use FreeSCAN or ProScan depending on what I need to do.. Usually run with ProScan as it does have much better interface and capabilities! Its worth the money!

New here. Looking for a scanner that does trunking that can monitor Palmetto 800 system. Any advice?
Thanks,
Kevin - K4KBG
The Pro 652 works fairly well here in the low country even with the standard ant. that comes with it. Use the RR data base and you should be fine.

Not a new code, it's been around awhile, that much I can say.

As for the signal codes themselves, that's one of those OPSEC things I'd rather not disclose, sorry.

Was recently down in Myrtle Beach area and noticed that the Dispatcher on SCHP 70 sounded like they were digital, my scanner didn't indicate a patch and displayed a Radio ID, but the dispatcher sounded like they were digital, somehow,?

Consoles were made digital some time ago with the switch to MCC 7500 IP consoles from the old Elite Gold consoles, and the radios in the field are mixed-mode receive. Just waiting on the digital cutover in June for everyone else now.

What set of 800 meg is SCHP on for Aiken. I haven't heard a peep from what I have. I know they switched to P25 in August. Want to make sure I have the right group of 800 megs. Thanks

Lots of different sites (sets of frequencies) will carry SCHP radio traffic for Aiken. Most sites in areas covered by SCHP Troop 7 - Aiken, Orangeburg, Barnwell, Bamberg, Hampton, Allendale, Calhoun - will carry this traffic most of the time. But not always. See the thread i responded to in the GA forums discussing affiliation.

As mentioned in another thread, Troop 7 uses a lot of talkgroup patching when they only have a single dispatcher working. The talkgroup that is used as the patch talkgroup will change from time to time. Program all Troop 7 dispatch talkgroups to ensure you always hear the traffic.
