how's this antenna?

I'm just wondering if anybody has used this antenna? Does it come with mounting brackets etc.? I'm looking to use it in the VHF range. Is it worth spending the money for that or should i go for a radioshack discone?

Wow... I guess saying an antenna performs 25-1300 MHz isn't fudging enough, and now people are going to start saying 500 KHz to 1500 MHz.

It's a 2M/440 antenna... It will do best in VHF and around 440 UHF. Any other band, and you get what you get.

And at HF, a vertical like this - if it performs on HF at all (maybe as a top loaded wire...) would be a huge noise magnet. Get a nice discone, ScanTenna, NilJon, ect. and feed it with the right coax. Likely to be a much better performer.

Oh by the way - Nevada Communications, despite its name, is actually in the UK. I wonder if any of our British members would comment? 73s Mike

I got the Nevada wideband antenna and its performance is good even on HF.
