I have a HomePatrol unit that I think is fantastic. I am however having a minor problem with the unit.

I use a favorites list (created using HomePatrol Sentinel) that contains entries from two (2) Missouri statewide systems:

1. "Kansas City MO Public Safety" that references a number of selected Departments/Channels on their EDACS system

2. "Medical Helicopters / EMS Agencies (Area Wide)" that references two (2) FM channels.

Sometimes, but not always, when I lock on to the "Medical Helicopters…" system during a transmission, my HP unit will show the unit to be locked onto that system during the current transmission but at the end of the exchange will switch to become locked onto the "Kansas City MO Public Safety" system. The system entries both are shown in yellow with the padlock image being displayed during the times when I indicated that they were locked.

There is frequent traffic on the Kansas City system whereas there is only sporadic traffic on the Medical Helicopters system. I've seen the locked system change from Medical Helicopter to KC City MO Public Safety but have never seen it change back to Medical Helicopter even though I've left it alone for a long time after it switches. It's hard to know for certain though that it wouldn't switch back given the low traffic levels on the Medical Helicopter system.

Selecting the "Update Firmware…" option within HomePatrol Sentinel results in a message stating: "The version of HomePatrol is the current version." The HP shows my current Firmware Version as 1.02.

Is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong or expecting some behavior that I should not expect from the unit?

I've noticed something similar when locked on to a system (top screen) and moving "next" or "previous" under one of the two lower screens. It will move to the next system (top screen) sometimes when it gets to the beginning or end of the list, when you expect it to just roll through the selections in those lower screens. I've never seen it do it while scanning with a locked system (top screen) and scanning the sub screens as you've described.
