When scanning a favorites, list should the GPS be ignored, or should the GPS be used?

Up to you. Do you want things in it to turn on/off based on your location? Then, enable location control. Do you want to always manually select items in the FL to scan? Then, disable location control.

I have location control set too NO, in my favorites list. But when I turn the HP 2 on, the first thing I see is ..."Use GPS or ignore GPS".

Which one should I chose?

If you have location control turned off for all your FL, and you are not using the main database, I'd just not plug in the GPS. In that condition, it doesn't matter whether you select use or ignore.

If you have location control turned on for a FL and/or are using the main database and want to limit scanning based on your immediate location, plug in the GPS and select "use".

What happens if I just chose "ignore GPS", when using the favorites list, and location control is off?

I don't want too plug and or unplug the GPS often.

If you choose Ignore GPS, then the scanner will ignore the incoming GPS data.
