I am trying to find a UHF Wide Band Whip Antenna with grey identifier but all I can find is the red identifiers. I am operating in the 440-470 range I have an R and an S split radios. I am looking for a link to the antenna you guy most recommend for the best signal and range. I have one grey antenna already and the new radio I just got the seller shipped it with a blue identifier antenna I believe is for vhf.

I'd stick with Wiscomm. I've used them in the past and you have a reasonably good chance you'll get exactly what you ordered, an OEM Motorola antenna.

Some of the other places that sell them are bootleg Chinese antennas.

Ok that’s what i want is an oem one!
Another question is the radio I have has the NMN6228c mic with it. Would this be the antenna I need for that too? And do I need to have one on that or is it optional?

If you are using the public safety speaker mic, it disconnects the antenna on top of the radio, so you do need an antenna on the mic if that's what you are going to do. Kind of a pain to have an antenna that big on top of the microphone. Usually the stubby antennas were used.

No, but one of the shorter ones is a bit more comfortable. We used the stubby 800MHz antennas on my system back in the day. They do make a short UHF antenna.

The aftermarket providers don't use the same Motorola color codes. If it is the 5.2 inch flex whip antenna it will be the same as the silver coded antenna. I have bought a gazillion antennae from the reseller on eBay from Rowland Heights and have very good luck with them. The HT1000 antennae are the same antennae for the MT2000, MTS2000, Astro Saber, and the XTS series radios.

It might be a good idea to get both the stubby and the Flex whip to try with the Public Safety Mic. I've used both and I didn't have any problem using the flex whip on the Public Safety Mic.

An actual OEM stubby is no longer available for 403-470 MHz. There are plenty of T-Band OEM stubbies. You would have to go after-market or find a dealer/reseller that has an OEM Stubby in stock.

The eBay reseller that is in Rowland Heights, CA has been a great source for the discontinued Motorola antennae, but they are after-market antennae. I have bought numerous antennae from him. Don't get concerned that the antenna is identified with the red dot because they don't follow the standard Motorola color codes for antennae. All of their antennae are red dots. I have never had any problems with this reseller or his products and I am very picky myself when it comes to OEM. I would rather spend the extra dollars for OEM because I won't buy cheap stuff from Pandaland because it is never a savings in the long run.

I have never bought anything from Wiscomm, but it appears that they deal in the real stuff, but it appears that they are sold out because Motorola discontinued that antenna long time ago. There was never a huge call for the UHF stubby antenna.
