HI David, I don't hear anything so far. I am scanning event talkgroups and statewide calling. I'll add National Guard groups tomorrow. They usually respond.

Typically, for large scale events, you'll see the Alpha-Delta assigned first, followed by Echo-Hotel, then India and above assigned as needed. Sadly there are some agencies that still lack the events channels that were created in 2018 (India-Tango), so Alpha-Hotel are utilized first for large events involving a lot of resources to avoid having to deploy cache radios or patch events channels and waste double the resources for templates that are 7+ years behind.

All that to say, I'm betting you'll hear most of the chatter for hurricane coordination on Alpha-Hotel event channels.

With the current focus on trying to keep folks from outside of an incident to not drag unnecessary traffic to areas that don't need it to keep system loading managed, it may be more limited that may be in the past.
But to echo trumpetman, those would be the likely hotspots along with DPR.
Fairly certain the system management is watching things much more closely these days.

VIPER Talkgroup Charlie 1 is being used for what sounds like staging items to have ready if needed in Williamston called Williamston ASP. RCC East is on there.

Just wanted to see how the coast was doing during the hurricane.

NC National Guard deployments, as @richardbritt said, on VIPER Statewide Events Charly1 (51963) and also on NCNG3 (52029) with limited comms. Look for individual counties to use various SW TGs if things get bad, keep in mind even areas/agencies not normally on VIPER may be using it as backup and inter-agency operations.

I'd like to remind everyone that the NC VIPER RID Wiki page has a section from several years ago when Hurricane Florence passed through, along with TGs and RIDs in use then.

Also, for premium members, watch the VIPER database for TGs to turn BLUE, you can monitor through this if comms are not on your local towers.
