• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Do you happen to have release notes? (and maybe repeater fw as well)
No release notes. They stopped doing them long time ago. I ask all the time and never get anything
Its always a figure it out for yourself type deal apparently
This is the latest FW for the HR repeaters that came out last month

These might be from a previous FW not the current 3.2.20.008
The version before this messed up the scan and i had to do a bunch of stuff with hytera R&D and testing for them to figure out the issue and they fixed it in this current release and i see no mention of any scan issues being fixed

Also in the previous CPS they messed up the voice files somehow, every file would say invalid when loading it into the CPS but that has also been fixed in the current CPS 3.2.05.009 and no mention of that either

So, I tried updating a HP605. Still the same firmware bug/limitation since day one of V3 firmware. On V2 can have the display turn on with network activity (or have it timed, on or off). On V3 its timed or off (with no tick boxes for PTT and over-air services), so its basically a dead display until a user touches volume or changes channel. Not even a permanantly on option. I find it pretty poor we are at 3.2 and still don't have feature parity with v2....
Its a shame, HP605 is nice hardware with terrible software that renders the display useless, not even caller IDs shown.

No, it’s an issue specific to the hp60x, possibly 70x as well. I don’t have similar issues with a 685 on v3 (but that’s not been updated to latest)
