we have several hytera tc-508 radios. we have five frequencies and we program the radios ourselves.
we have a strange issue with some of our radios and the common denominator with the problematic radios are that they are all with a V5 firmware. the other radios are a combination of V2 and V1 firmware .
all of our V2 and V1 radios can TX and RX perfectly amongst each other.
the V5 radios can RX from a V1 or V2 radio.
however, when we TX from a V5 radio, none of the other radios can receive that signal regardless of whether its a V5, V2 or V1 firmware radio. all of the frequencies and CTCSS are programmed to be identical. When TXing from a V5 radio, you can see red light on the TX radio and green light on the RX radio, but no sound. so I know it is receiving some kind of a signal.
before I send these into a repair shop for diagnosis, can anyone shed light on what could be the issue?
thank you very much.
